Shimadzu introduced its first digital integrator in 1969. Since then Shimadzu has been a leader in the field of processing of chromatographic data. The microprocessor controlled Chromatopac series starting with the C-R1A and continuing today with the C-R8A is a continuation of that history. Spectroscopy and spectrography are terms used to refer to the measurement of radiation intensity as a function of wavelength and are often used to describe experimental spectroscopic methods. Spectral measurement devices are referred to as spectrometers, spectrophotometers, spectrographs or spectral analyzers.

UVProbe is multifunctional, easy-to-use software supplied as standard with Shimadzu UV-VIS Spectrophotometers. When combined with CLASS-Agent, it provides powerful support for Part 11 compatibility.
b. FTIR Spectroscopy

2. Portable Gas Analysis
i. CGT-7000 CO and O2 Analyzer
The CGT-7000 is equipped with an infrared gas analyzer that uses a highly-stable ratio method. A maximum of three components can be measured, O2 (zirconia method) and two additional components (select from CO, CO2 and CH2). There are also virtually no affects from symbiotic component gases.
ii. NOA-7000 NOx and O2 Analyzer
TThe NOS-7000’s NOx meter uses the normal pressure chemoluminescence method, the oximeter uses the zirconia method. The NOA-7000 is also equipped with various new technologies, like a large display panel that makes it easy to view density displays and memory card functions for data storage. The user can even switch between 8 recipes, and a minimum full scale of 25ppm is standard for this compact, light-weight, high-performance NOx-O2 analyzer.
iii. SOA-7000 SO2 Analyzer
All units for preprocesses required for measurement are internal, yet the SOA-7000 is still a compact, light-weight analyzer. The SOA-7000’s ratio infrared gas analyzer makes it ideal for a wide range of applications, from testing research that requires long-term stability to field work, for which mobility is of major importance.
iv. CFP-8000 Pretreatment unit
When performing continuous gas analysis, dust and moisture must be removed from the gas so that a clean gas sample can be sent to the analyzer. This vital preprocessing can be performed by this one device, and two lines of cleaned measurement gas can be used simultaneously. Light-weight and compact, the CFP-8000 is the perfect preprocessor for use with portable analyzers

15. Non-Destructive Testing
Non-destructive inspection instruments utilize X-rays to penetrate materials.
